An exam checks your teeth and gums for signs of problems. A professional cleaning removes plaque and hardened buildup that home brushing cannot remove. Your dentist will explain any findings and recommend care based on your needs.

How often should I come in?
Your dentist will recommend a schedule based on your oral health and risk of tooth decay or gum disease.
Do I need x-rays at every visit?
Not necessarily. Your dentist considers your history, symptoms and examination before recommending x-rays.
What does the $79 new patient special include?
An exam, x-rays and a cleaning for patients without periodontal disease. Patients needing periodontal treatment are quoted separately. Offer conditions apply.
What should I bring?
Bring your medication list, relevant medical and dental history, and insurance information if you have coverage.
Is a regular cleaning the same as gum treatment?
No. Gum disease may require treatment beyond a routine cleaning. Your dentist will explain what is appropriate for you.
